1A—Implementation of Stormwater Management Agreement
The Parliament of South Australia enacts as
follows:
This Act may be cited as the Local Government (Waste Collection)
Amendment Act 2009.
This Act will come into operation 1 month after the day on which it is
assented to by the Governor.
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a
specified Act amends the Act so specified.
Part 2—Amendment
of Local Government
Act 1999
4—Amendment of
section 4—Interpretation
Section 4(1)—after the definition of member
insert:
Metropolitan Adelaide has the same meaning as in the
Development Act 1993;
metropolitan council means a council whose area is wholly or
partly within Metropolitan Adelaide;
After section 297 insert:
297A—Waste collection
A metropolitan council must endeavour to ensure that waste collection
occurs on a weekly basis in any area of the council that is within Metropolitan
Adelaide.

Schedule 1A, clause 1(1), definitions of Metropolitan
Adelaide and metropolitan council—delete the
definitions
