The Parliament of South Australia enacts as
follows:
This Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Remuneration (Basic Salary)
Amendment Act 2011.
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a
specified Act amends the Act so specified.

of Parliamentary Remuneration
Act 1990

of section 3—Interpretation
Section 3, definition of basic salary—delete the
definition and substitute:
basic salary means annual salary at a rate equal
to—
(a) up to and including 30 June 2012—the amount that was,
immediately before the commencement of the Parliamentary
Remuneration (Basic Salary) Amendment Act 2011, payable to a member
of Parliament as the member's basic salary; and
(b) after 30 June 2012—$2 000 less than the rate from
time to time of Commonwealth basic salary;
