The Parliament of South Australia enacts as
follows:
This Act may be cited as the South Australian Motor Sport (Construction
of Permanent Buildings) Amendment Act 2007.
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a
specified Act amends the Act so specified.
Part 2—Amendment
of South Australian Motor Sport
Act 1984
3—Amendment of
section 3—Interpretation
Section 3(1)—after the definition of official
title insert:
permanent building means a building that is intended to
remain standing for a period exceeding 6 months;
4—Amendment of
section 10—Functions and powers of the Board
Section 10—after subsection (4) insert:
(5) The Board must not construct a permanent building in any parklands
within the City of Adelaide without the approval of the Corporation of the City
of Adelaide.
5—Amendment of
section 22—Board to have power to enter and carry out works etc on
declared area
Section 22—after subsection (6) insert:
(7) To avoid doubt, this section does not derogate from the operation of
section 10(5).
6—Amendment of
section 25—Non-application of certain laws
Section 25—after subsection (2) insert:
(2a) Subsection (2) does not apply to or in relation to the
construction of a permanent building within a declared area.
