CRIMINAL LAW CONSOLIDATION ACT 1935 - SECT 167

167—Sacrilege

A person who—

            (a)         breaks and enters a place of divine worship and commits an offence to which this section applies 1 in that place; or

            (b)         breaks out of a place of divine worship after committing an offence to which this section applies 1 in that place,

is guilty of sacrilege and liable to be imprisoned for life.

Note—

1         ie theft or an offence of which theft is an element; an offence against the person; or an offence involving interference with, damage to, or destruction of, property punishable by imprisonment for 3 years or more.
