South Australian Current Acts South Australian Current Acts (1) The functions of
the central assessment unit are—
(a) to
conduct working with children checks; and
(b) to
issue and revoke prohibition notices; and
(c) to
provide advice to the Minister in relation to the operation of this Act; and
(d) to
assist in education programs relating to the operation of this Act; and
(da) to
conduct screenings for the purposes of the Disability Inclusion Act 2018
and to perform such other functions as may assigned to the
central assessment unit under that Act; and
(e) such
other functions as may be assigned to the central assessment unit by the
Minister or under this or any other Act.
(2) In performing
functions under this Act, the central assessment unit must have regard to, and
seek to give effect to, the objects and principles set out in section 3.
