119—Offender may be removed from polling booth
(1) A person who
engages in disorderly conduct in a polling booth, or fails to obey the lawful
directions of the presiding officer, is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $750.
(2) A person who
contravenes subsection (1) (including a candidate or scrutineer) may be
removed by a member of the police force or a person authorised by the
presiding officer to remove him or her.
(3) A person who has
been removed from a polling booth by direction of the presiding officer under
subsection (2) and who re-enters the polling booth without the permission
of the presiding officer is guilty of a further offence.
Maximum penalty: $2 500 or imprisonment for 6 months.
