103S—Prohibition or restriction on taking water affected by site
contamination
(1) If the Authority
is satisfied that—
(a)
there is site contamination that affects or threatens water; and
(b)
action is necessary under this section to prevent actual or potential harm to
human health or safety,
the Authority may, by notice in the Gazette, prohibit or restrict the taking
of the water.
(2) A notice under
this section must—
(a)
specify the water to which it relates; and
(b) give
particulars of the site contamination affecting the water.
(3) A person must not
contravene a notice under this section.
Maximum penalty: $8 000.
(4) The Authority may,
by notice in the Gazette, vary or revoke a notice under this section.
