(1) Subject to this
Act, the Authority may grant an environmental authorisation to a person who
has made due application for the authorisation and paid the authorisation fee
prescribed or determined under the regulations.
(2) The Authority
must, by notice in writing served on the applicant, advise the applicant of
its decision on the application and, in the case of a decision refusing a
works approval or licence, state in the notice the reasons for the refusal.
(3) Where
the Authority grants an exemption under this Part, the Authority must
forthwith cause notice of the exemption to be published in the Gazette.
