14—Applications for licences
(1) An application for
a firearms licence—
(a) must
be made to the Registrar in the manner and form approved by the Registrar; and
(b) must
be accompanied by any documents required under this Act or by the Registrar;
and
(c) must
be accompanied by the application fee prescribed by the regulations.
(2) The Registrar may
require an applicant to furnish any information the Registrar requires to
determine the application.
(3) Subject to this
Act and any exception allowed under the regulations, an application for a
firearms licence cannot be made by a natural person under the age of 18 years.
(4) Subject to any
exception allowed under the regulations, if a person's firearms licence has
been cancelled by the Registrar under section 20(6) or (7), an
application for a firearms licence cannot be made by the person before the
expiration of 3 years after the day on which the cancellation takes effect.
