Where a person is convicted of an offence against this Act or any other Act,
and it appears to the court by which that person is convicted that Maralinga
Tjarutja has suffered damage to its property as a result of the commission of
the offence, the court may order the convicted person to pay such compensation
to Maralinga Tjarutja as the court considers just.
