25—Conditional registration
(1) The Registrar may
register a motor vehicle under this section if—
(a) the
applicant satisfies the Registrar that the vehicle is of a class prescribed
for the purposes of this section; and
(b) the
applicant undertakes that the conditions of registration of the vehicle under
this section will be complied with; and
(c)
application for registration of the vehicle is made in accordance with
section 20 and the fee paid in respect of the registration is the
applicable fee fixed by the regulations for the purposes of this section.
(2) Where a
motor vehicle is registered under this section—
(a) the
period of registration will be the period specified in the regulations; and
(b) the
registration of the vehicle is subject to—
(i)
the conditions imposed by the regulations;
(ii)
such other conditions (if any) as the Registrar thinks
fit to impose and notifies in writing to the applicant; and
(d)
subject to the regulations, the registration is not transferable.
(3) The Registrar may,
by notice in writing to the registered owner or the registered operator of a
motor vehicle registered under this section, vary the conditions of the
registration or impose further conditions.
