South Australian Current Acts South Australian Current Acts42—Registration not transferable in certain cases where vehicle
registered at reduced fee or for no fee
(1) The registration
of a motor vehicle that has been registered without payment of a fee is not
transferable unless the transferee satisfies the Registrar that the transferee
is entitled to the same exemption from registration fees as the transferor.
(2) The registration
of a motor vehicle that has been registered at a reduced registration fee is
not transferable unless—
(a) the
transferee satisfies the Registrar that the transferee is entitled to the same
reduction of registration fees as the transferor; or
(b)
the balance of the prescribed registration fee is paid at or before the time
of lodgement of an application to transfer the registration of the vehicle to
the transferee.
