(1) The sheriff may
appoint sheriff's officers as security officers.
(2) An appointment
under subsection (1) may be made subject to conditions limiting the
powers exercisable by the security officer.
(3) The sheriff may,
by notice in writing to a security officer—
(a) vary
or revoke a condition of the appointment or impose a condition; or
(b)
revoke the appointment.
(4) If a person
appointed as a security officer ceases to be a sheriff's officer, the person's
appointment as a security officer is revoked.
