A person must not, directly or indirectly, disclose information obtained in
the course of the administration or operation of this Act except—
(a) for
the purposes of the administration or enforcement of this Act; or
(b) for
the purposes of referring the matter to a law enforcement, or a regulatory
agency or person exercising official duties in relation to a health profession
or otherwise related to the operation of this Act; or
(c) for
the purposes of a criminal proceeding or a proceeding for the imposition of a
penalty; or
(d) if
the disclosure is reasonably necessary for the protection of the lawful
interests of that person; or
(e) as
is otherwise required or authorised by or under this or any other Act.
Maximum penalty: $20 000.
