sold by retail etc
(1) Subject to
subregulation (2), a person who sells by retail or supplies an
S3 poison must personally (not through an assistant) give oral
directions, supplemented wherever practicable with written directions, for the
safe and proper use of the poison to the person purchasing or being supplied
with the poison.
Maximum penalty: $3 000.
(2) An interpreter may
be used to assist in the giving of oral directions if the person purchasing or
being supplied with the poison is not sufficiently familiar with the English
language.
