South Australian Current Regulations South Australian Current Regulations15—Carriage of certain devices while using scuba etc
(1) Subject to
subregulation (2), a person must not, while using a scuba, hookah or
other apparatus for breathing underwater, carry a hand fish spear or a
spear gun, or a device that operates by means of an explosive cartridge.
Maximum penalty: $2 500.
Expiation fee: $210.
(2) A person may,
while using a scuba, hookah or other apparatus for breathing underwater, carry
a device that operates by means of an explosive cartridge if—
(a) the
device is not attached to a hand fish spear or spear gun; and
(b) the
device is carried only for protection; and
(c) any
fish that is injured or killed is left in the water.
(3)
Subregulation (2) does not permit the carrying of a device in an aquatic
reserve or an area specified in Schedule 10.
