FISHERIES MANAGEMENT (GENERAL) REGULATIONS 2017 - REG 36

36—Waiver of fees

        (1)         The Minister may waive a prescribed fee payable on application for an exemption, permit or duplicate authority if satisfied that it is appropriate to do so in a particular case.

        (2)         The Minister may waive the prescribed fee for an application by a person for a fishery licence or registration as a fish processor if the Minister is satisfied that the application is for a fishery licence or registration as a fish processor that is in substitution for a licence or registration (as the case requires) held by the person that has expired or is about to expire.

        (3)         The Minister may waive the prescribed fee payable by the holder of a licence in respect of the Marine Scalefish Fishery on an application to vary a quota entitlement under the licence if the Minister is satisfied that the variation of the quota entitlement is consequential on an authorised amalgamation scheme transfer as defined in regulation 6 of the Fisheries Management (Marine Scalefish Fishery) Regulations 2017 .
