67—Demerit points for offences
(1) For the purposes
of section 98B(1) of the Act—
(a) the
offences specified in Schedule 4 are prescribed; and
(b) the
number of demerit points incurred by a person on conviction or expiation of an
offence specified in Schedule 4 is the number set out alongside that offence.
(2) For the purposes
of section 98BC(2) of the Act, the offences specified in Schedule 4 Part
2 are prescribed.
(3) Text set out in
italic type under a heading and commencing with the
words "Description of offence" is a description for convenience purposes only
and is not to be taken to define the offence for which a particular number is
prescribed as the number of demerit points attracted by the offence.
