A person must, in operating or using a radiation source—
(a)
comply with the provisions of a relevant code applying to the operation or use
of the source that are expressed as mandatory provisions; and
(b) have
regard to provisions of a relevant code as to the operation or use of the
source that are not expressed as mandatory provisions but are expressed as
recommendations in relation to the operation or use of the source.
Maximum penalty: $10 000.
Expiation fee: $500.
