Despite anything in the Rules or these regulations, where a crash is an
accident to which section 43 of the Act applies, a driver involved in the
crash is not required to comply with rule 287 (Duties of a driver
involved in a crash) apart from the requirement in subrule (2) that the
driver give the driver's required particulars, within the required time and,
if practicable, at the scene of the crash, to the persons indicated by
subrule (2)(a), (b) and (c).
