(1) A
person conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must ensure, so far
as is reasonably practicable, that a lead process area at the workplace is
kept clean.
Maximum penalty:
(a) In
the case of an individual—$6 000.
(b) In
the case of a body corporate—$30 000.
(2) The person must
ensure that the methods used to clean a lead process area—
(a) do
not create a risk to the health of persons in the immediate vicinity of the
area; and
(b) do
not have the potential to spread the contamination of lead.
Maximum penalty:
(a) In
the case of an individual—$6 000.
(b) In
the case of a body corporate—$30 000.
