675Q—Safety role for workers in relation to principal mining hazards
The mine operator of a mine must implement a safety role for the workers at
the mine that enables them to contribute to—
(a) the
identification under regulation 627 of principal mining hazards that are
relevant to the work that the workers are or will be carrying out; and
(b) the
consideration of control measures for risks associated with principal mining
hazards at the mine; and
(c) the
conduct of a review under regulation 629.
Maximum penalty:
(a) in
the case of an individual—$6 000;
(b) in
the case of a body corporate—$30 000.
