South Australian Current Regulations South Australian Current Regulations728—Asbestos removal supervisors and asbestos removal workers
(1) Despite any other
regulation, the regulator may, on application by a person, authorise the
person to supervise or carry out licensed asbestos removal work despite the
fact that the person does not hold certification in relation to the specified
VET course relevant to the supervision of asbestos removal work or the class
of licensed asbestos removal work to be carried out if the regulator is
satisfied that the person has appropriate training and is competent to
supervise or carry out the work.
(2) An application
under subregulation (1) must be made in the manner and form required by
the regulator.
(3) This regulation
will cease to have effect on the second anniversary of the relevant day.
