South Australian Numbered Acts South Australian Numbered Acts6—Composition of Board
(1) The Board consists
of 9 members appointed by the Governor of whom—
(a) 5
must be physiotherapists and of these—
(i)
4 are to be chosen at an election (see section 7);
and
(ii)
1 is to be selected from a panel of 3 physiotherapists
nominated by the Council of the University of South Australia; and
(b) 1
must be a legal practitioner nominated by the Minister; and
(c) 1
must be a medical practitioner nominated by the Minister; and
(d) 2
must be persons nominated by the Minister who are not eligible for appointment
under a preceding provision of this subsection.
(2) At least 1 of the
members of the Board must be a woman and 1 must be a man.
(3) The Governor may
appoint a person to be a deputy of a member and a person so appointed may act
as a member of the Board in the absence of the member.
(4) The requirements
of qualification and nomination (if applicable) made by this section in
relation to the appointment of a member extend to the appointment of a deputy
of that member.
