PODIATRY PRACTICE ACT 2005 (NO 9 OF 2005) - SECT 65

65—Information relating to claim against registered person or podiatric services provider to be provided

        (1)         If a person has claimed damages or other compensation from a registered person or other person for alleged negligence committed by the registered person in the course of providing podiatric treatment, the person against whom the claim is made must—

            (a)         within 30 days after the claim is made; and

            (b)         within 30 days after any order is made by a court to pay damages or other compensation in respect of that claim or any agreement has been entered into for payment of a sum of money in settlement of that claim (whether with or without a denial of liability),

provide the Board with prescribed information relating to the claim.

Maximum penalty: $10 000.

        (2)         If a person has claimed damages or other compensation from a podiatric services provider for alleged negligence committed by the podiatric services provider in connection with the provision of podiatric treatment, the podiatric services provider must—

            (a)         within 30 days after the claim is made; and

            (b)         within 30 days after any order is made by a court to pay damages or other compensation in respect of that claim or any agreement has been entered into for payment of a sum of money in settlement of that claim (whether with or without a denial of liability),

provide the Board with prescribed information relating to the claim.

Maximum penalty: $10 000.
