(1) The Minister may
direct the Council to review the operation of a scheme.
(2) The Council must
comply with any such direction but may on its own initiative at any time
(whether before or after the scheme ceases to have effect) review the
operation of a scheme.
(3) A review may, but
need not, be conducted in order to decide whether a scheme should be amended
or revoked or whether a new scheme should be made.
(4) Without limiting
subsection (2), the Council may review the operation of a scheme that
relates to the members of an occupational association if the association
proposes under section 29 an alteration in the standards applying in
relation to an insurance policy or kind of insurance policy that would, in the
opinion of the Council, result in less stringent standards.
