24—Report and investigation of breach of Code
(1) A protective
security officer or police officer who becomes aware of circumstances in which
it is reasonable to suspect the commission of a breach of the Code must report
the matter to the Commissioner or as directed by the Commissioner.
(2) If the
Commissioner suspects that a protective security officer has committed a
breach of the Code, the Commissioner may, subject to a determination of the
Police Complaints Authority under section 23 of the Police (Complaints
and Disciplinary Proceedings) Act 1985 , cause the matter to be
investigated.
