32—Identification of protective security officers
(1) A protective
security officer must be issued with an identity card in a form approved by
the Commissioner—
(a)
containing a photograph of the person and the person's name or a unique
identification code; and
(b)
stating that the person is a protective security officer under this Act.
(2) If a protective
security officer is not in official uniform, the officer must, at the request
of a person in relation to whom the officer intends to exercise any powers
under this Act or any other Act, produce his or her identity card for
inspection by the person.
(3) If a person in
possession of an identity card issued to the person under this section ceases
to be a protective security officer, the person must immediately return the
identity card to the Commissioner.
Maximum penalty: $1 250.
