38—Resignation and relinquishment of official duties
(1) A protective
security officer may resign by not less than 14 days notice in writing to
the Commissioner (unless notice of a shorter period is accepted by the
Commissioner).
(2) A protective
security officer must not relinquish official duties unless the officer—
(a) is
expressly authorised in writing by the Commissioner to do so; or
(b) is
incapacitated by physical or mental disability or illness from performing
official duties.
Maximum penalty: $1 250 or imprisonment for 3 months.
