STATUTES AMENDMENT (SMALL BUSINESS COMMISSION AND RETAIL AND COMMERCIAL LEASES) ACT 2024 (NO 65 OF 2024) - SECT 32

32—Amendment of section 20H—Failure to comply with rules

        (1)         Section 20H—delete "Commissioner" wherever occurring and substitute in each case:

        (2)         Section 20H(1)(a)—delete "mediation of the dispute" and substitute:

alternative dispute resolution

        (3)         Section 20H(2)(a)—delete paragraph (a) and substitute:

            (a)         the Commission (or a person appointed by the Commission to conduct alternative dispute resolution) will attempt to resolve the dispute by alternative dispute resolution.

        (4)         Section 20H(2)(b)—delete "conciliation" and substitute:

        (5)         Section 20H—after subsection (2) insert:

        (2a)         The Commission may determine the form of alternative dispute resolution to be used for the purposes of subsection (2)(a).
