Section 43(1)—delete subsection (1) and substitute:
(1) The Commissioner
of Police may intervene in proceedings before the Commissioner on an
application for approval under this Part other than under section 40 or 41 for
the purpose of introducing evidence or making submissions and, in particular,
may intervene on the question of whether the person to whom the application
relates is a fit and proper person or whether to grant the application would
be contrary to the public interest.
