STATUTES AMENDMENT (ATTORNEY-GENERAL'S PORTFOLIO) ACT 2016 (NO 28 OF 2016) - SECT 22

22—Amendment of section 3—Interpretation

Section 3(1)—after the definition of "Children's Protection Act order insert:

"cognitive impairment" includes—

            (a)         a developmental disability (including, for example, an intellectual disability, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy or an autistic spectrum disorder);

            (b)         an acquired disability as a result of illness or injury (including, for example, dementia, a traumatic brain injury or a neurological disorder);

            (c)         a mental illness;
