TERRORISM (SURFACE TRANSPORT SECURITY) ACT 2011 (NO 9 OF 2011) - SECT 8

8—False or misleading information

A person must not make a statement that is false or misleading in a material particular (whether by reason of the inclusion or omission of any particular) in any information provided under this Act.

Maximum penalty:

            (a)         if the person made the statement knowing that it was false or misleading—$10 000 or imprisonment for 2 years;

            (b)         in any other case—$5 000.
