Adoption (Review) Amendment Act (Commencement) Proclamation 2017
1—Short title
This proclamation may be cited as the Adoption (Review) Amendment Act (Commencement) Proclamation 2017.
2—Commencement of Act and suspension of certain provisions
(1) The Adoption (Review) Amendment Act 2016
(No 64 of 2016) will come into operation on 17 February 2017.
(2) The operation of the following provisions of the Act is suspended until a day or time or days or times to be fixed by subsequent proclamation or proclamations:
(a) section 4;
(b) section 5, other than—
(i) subsections (3) and (5) of that section; and
(ii) the insertion of the definition of qualifying relationship into section 4(1) of the Adoption Act 1988
by subsection (6) of that section;
(c) sections 6 and 7;
(d) section 9(1) and (2);
(e) sections 10 and 11;
(f) section 13;
(g) section 14(3);
(h) sections 15 to 22 (inclusive);
(i) section 23(1);
(j) sections 24 to 31 (inclusive).
