Election of Senators (Fixing of Dates)
Proclamation 2004
under section 2 of the Election of Senators Act 1903
This proclamation may be cited as the Election of Senators (Fixing of
Dates) Proclamation 2004.
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is
made.
3—Fixing of dates for 2004
election
For the purposes of the election of 6 Senators for the State of South
Australia I fix the following dates:
(a) 31 August 2004 as the date for the issue of the writ;
(b) 7 September 2004 as the date for the close of the electoral
rolls;
(c) 16 September 2004 as the date for the nomination of
candidates;
(d) 9 October 2004 as the date for the polling;
(e) 8 December 2004 as the date on or before which the unit must be
returned.
