Election of Senators (Fixing of Dates)
Proclamation 2007
under section 2 of the Election of Senators Act 1903
This proclamation may be cited as the Election of Senators (Fixing of
Dates) Proclamation 2007.
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is
made.
3—Fixing of dates for 2007
election
For the purposes of the election of 6 Senators for the State of South
Australia, I fix the following dates:
(a) 17 October 2007 as the date for the issue of the writ;
(b) 23 October 2007 as the date for the close of the electoral
rolls;
(c) 1 November 2007 as the date for the nomination of
candidates;
(d) 24 November 2007 as the date for the polling;
(e) 25 January 2008 as the date on or before which the writ must be
returned.
