Election of Senators (Fixing of Dates) Proclamation 2010
under section 2 of the Election of Senators Act 1903
1—Short title
This proclamation may be cited as the Election of Senators (Fixing of Dates) Proclamation 2010.
2—Commencement
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is made.
3—Fixing of dates for 2010 election
The following dates are fixed for the purposes of the election of 6 Senators for the State of South Australia:
(a) 19 July 2010 as the date for the issue of the writ;
(b) 22 July 2010 as the date for the close of the electoral rolls;
(c) 29 July 2010 as the date for the nomination of candidates;
(d) 21 August 2010 as the date for the polling;
(e) 27 October 2010 as the date on or before which the writ must be returned.
