Election of Senators (Fixing of Dates) Proclamation 2019
under section 2 of the Election of Senators Act 1903
1—Short title
This proclamation may be cited as the Election of Senators (Fixing of Dates) Proclamation 2019.
2—Commencement
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is made.
3—Fixing of dates for 2019 election
The following dates are fixed for the purposes of the election of 6 Senators for the State of South Australia:
(a) 11 April 2019 as the date for the issue of the writ;
(b) 18 April 2019 as the date for the close of the electoral rolls;
(c) 23 April 2019 as the date for the nomination of candidates;
(d) 18 May 2019 as the date for the polling;
(e) 28 June 2019 as the date on or before which the writ must be returned.
