Health Care (Local Health Networks) Proclamation 2011

under section 29 of the Health Care Act 2008

Preamble

1 The following bodies are incorporated under the Health Care Act 2008:

(a) Adelaide Health Service Incorporated;

(b) Children, Youth and Women's Health Service Incorporated;

(c) Country Health SA Hospital Incorporated.

2 It is now intended—

(a) to alter the names of each of the bodies referred to in clause 1; and

(b) to establish 2 incorporated hospitals under the Health Care Act 2008 to take over parts of the functions of providing health services and facilities provided by the Adelaide Health Service Incorporated.

3 Agreement has been reached between the Minister and the Adelaide Health Service Incorporated on the transfer of functions effected by this proclamation.

1—Short title

This proclamation may be cited as the Health Care (Local Health Networks) Proclamation 2011.

2—Commencement

This proclamation will come into operation on 1 July 2011.

3—Alteration of names

(1) The name of the Adelaide Health Service Incorporated is altered to Central Adelaide Local Health Network Incorporated.

(2) The name of the Children, Youth and Women's Health Service Incorporated is altered to Women's and Children's Health Network Incorporated.

(3) The name of Country Health SA Hospital Incorporated is altered to Country Health SA Local Health Network Incorporated.

4—Establishment of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network Incorporated

(1) An incorporated hospital is established to provide services and facilities under the Health Care Act 2008.

(2) The incorporated hospital is assigned the name Southern Adelaide Local Health Network Incorporated.

(3) That part of the undertaking of the Adelaide Health Service Incorporated (as it exists immediately before the commencement of this proclamation) that relates to providing services and facilities at the Flinders Medical Centre, Repatriation General Hospital and Noarlunga Hospital, GP Plus Health Care Centres and Super Clinics and primary, sub-acute and mental health centres located in the Southern Adelaide Area of that hospital's area of activities is transferred to Southern Adelaide Local Health Network Incorporated.

5—Establishment of Northern Adelaide Local Health Network Incorporated

(1) An incorporated hospital is established to provide services and facilities under the Health Care Act 2008.

(2) The incorporated hospital is assigned the name Northern Adelaide Local Health Network Incorporated.

(3) That part of the undertaking of the Adelaide Health Service Incorporated (as it exists immediately before the commencement of this proclamation) that relates to providing services and facilities at the Lyle McEwin Hospital, the Modbury Hospital, GP Plus Health Care Centres and Super Clinics and primary, sub-acute and mental health services located in the Northern Adelaide area of that hospital's area of activities is transferred to the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network Incorporated.
