Mining (Reservation from Act) Proclamation 2013
under section 8 of the Mining Act 1971
1 By proclamation made pursuant to the Mining Act 1971 on 3 March 1988 (Gazette 3.3.1988 p512) certain land in the Mintabie area (Road Reserve) was reserved from the operation of Parts 4, 5, 6, 6A, 7 and 8 of the Act.
2 By proclamation made pursuant to the Mining Act 1971 on 14 November 1996 (Gazette 14.11.1996 p1638) certain other land in the Mintabie area (Radio Telephone area, Mintabie Town area and portions of Section 1297 Out of Hundreds (Everard)) was reserved from the operation of Parts 4, 5, 6, 6A, 7, 8 and 8A of the Act.
3 By proclamation made pursuant to the Mining Act 1971 on 16 February 2006 (Gazette 16.2.2006 p580) further land (Mintabie Lake Nature Reserve area and Mesa Reserve area) was reserved from the operation of Parts 4, 5, 6 and 8 of the Act.
4 It is now intended that those proclamations be revoked under the Mining Act 1971 and the land referred to in clauses 1, 2 and 3, together with additional land, be reserved from the operation of Parts 4, 5, 6, 6A, 8 and 8A of the Act.
1—Short title
This proclamation may be cited as the Mining (Reservation from Act) Proclamation 2013.
2—Commencement
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is made.
3—Revocation of proclamations
The proclamations referred to in clauses 1, 2 and 3 of the preamble are revoked.
4—Reservation of land from provisions of Act
The land defined in Schedule 1 is reserved from the operation of Parts 4, 5, 6, 6A, 8 and 8A of the Mining Act 1971.

The following areas delineated on Uncertified Filed Plan FX56576:
(a) Mintabie Township Central area marked "A";
(b) Radio Telephone Tower area marked "B";
(c) Mintabie Airport area marked "C";
(d) Explosives Magazine area marked "D";
(e) Rubbish Dump area marked "E";
(f) Campsite areas marked "F", "G", "H" and "J";
(g) Mintabie Town Bore area marked "K";
(h) Queenslanders Bore area marked "L";
(i) Hopes Bore area marked "M";
(j) Mintabie Road area marked "N";
(k) Mintabie Lake Nature Reserve area marked "P";
(l) Mintabie Mesa area marked "Q".
