Notification of Assumption of Office of Governor
Proclamation 2007
Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second has been pleased to
appoint me, Kevin John Scarce, Officer of the Order of Australia, Conspicuous
Service Cross, Rear Admiral on the Retired List of the Australian Armed Forces,
to be, during Her pleasure, Governor in and over the State of South Australia in
the Commonwealth of Australia, with all the powers, rights, privileges and
advantages belonging or appertaining to that Office, and has authorised,
empowered and commanded me to exercise and perform the powers and functions
appertaining to that Office.
This proclamation may be cited as the Notification of Assumption of
Office of Governor Proclamation 2007.
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is
made.
3—Notification of assumption of
Office of Governor
I proclaim and make known—
(a) that all the powers and functions of the Office of Governor of the
State of South Australia have devolved on me, Kevin John Scarce; and
(b) that, having taken the oaths prescribed by law, I have assumed the
government of the State of South Australia; and
(c) that all Her Majesty's Officers, Ministers and loving subjects in the
State, and all others whom it may concern, are required to take due notice
thereof and to give their ready obedience accordingly.
