Natural Resources Management (Establishment of Regions)
Proclamation 2004
under section 22 of the Natural Resources Management Act 2004
1 It is proposed to divide the State into 8 regions under section 22
of the Natural Resources Management Act 2004 pursuant to a recommendation
of the Minister for Environment and Conservation.
2 The Minister has, in formulating the recommendation for the purposes of
subsection (1) of section 22 of the Act, complied with the requirements of
subsection (2) of that section.
This proclamation may be cited as the Natural Resources Management
(Establishment of Regions) Proclamation 2004.
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is
made.
The State is divided into 8 Natural Resources Management Regions
with the following names, as defined and designated by General Registry Office
Plan No. GP255/2004:
(a) Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges;
(b) Alinytjara Wilurara;
(c) Eyre Peninsula;
(d) Kangaroo Island;
(e) Northern and Yorke;
(f) South Australian Arid Lands;
(g) South Australian Murray Darling Basin;
(h) South East.

with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
on 2 September
