Residential Tenancies (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act (Commencement) Proclamation 2014

1—Short title

This proclamation may be cited as the Residential Tenancies (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act (Commencement) Proclamation 2014.

2—Commencement of suspended provisions

(1) Section 71 of the Residential Tenancies (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act 2013 (No 13 of 2013) will come into operation on 7 February 2014.

(2) The following provisions of the Act will come into operation on 1 March 2014:

(a) section 4(1) (but only insofar as it inserts a definition of bond into section 3(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995);

(b) section 4(2) (but only insofar as it inserts a definition of domestic facility requiring instructions into section 3(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995);

(c) section 4(3) (but only insofar as it deletes the definition of mediation from section 3(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 and inserts a definition of personal documents into that subsection);

(d) section 4(4) and (5);

(e) section 4(7) to (9) (inclusive);

(f) section 5(1) to (3) (inclusive);

(g) section 5(4) (but only insofar as it inserts subsection (1b) into section 5 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995);

(h) sections 6 to 30 (inclusive);

(i) section 31(1) (but only insofar as it inserts paragraph (fb) into section 56(2) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995);

(j) section 31(2);

(k) sections 32 to 35 (inclusive);

(l) section 36(1) to (10) (inclusive);

(m) section 37;

(n) section 38(1) and (2);

(o) section 38(3) (but only insofar as it deletes subsection (5) of section 63 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 and inserts new subsection (5) into that section);

(p) section 38(4) to (9) (inclusive);

(q) section 38(12);

(r) sections 39 to 46 (inclusive);

(s) section 47(1) to (3) (inclusive);

(t) sections 48 to 69 (inclusive);

(u) section 70(1) and (2);

(v) section 72 (but only insofar as it deletes Part 7 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 and inserts new Part 7 sections 103 to 105K (inclusive), 105L(1) and 105N to 105W (inclusive) into that Act);

(w) sections 73 to 82 (inclusive);

(x) section 83 (but only insofar as it deletes the Schedule to the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 and inserts Schedule 1 clauses 1 to 4 (inclusive) and clauses 6 to 8 (inclusive) into that Act);

(y) Schedule 1 Part 1.
