Statutes Amendment (Drink and Drug Driving) Act (Commencement) Proclamation 2018
1—Short title
This proclamation may be cited as the Statutes Amendment (Drink and Drug Driving) Act (Commencement) Proclamation 2018.
2—Commencement of Act
(1) Subject to subclauses (2)
and (3)
, the Statutes Amendment (Drink and Drug Driving) Act 2017
(No 63 of 2017) will come into operation on 22 February 2018.
(2) Sections 11(2), 21(3), 25(5) and 25(6) of the Act will come into operation on 8 March 2018.
(3) The following provisions of the Act will come into operation on 24 April 2018:
(a) section 6(1);
(b) sections 8 to 10 (inclusive);
(c) section 11(1);
(d) section 13;
(e) section 16(1);
(f) sections 17 and 18;
(g) section 19(1) to (3) (inclusive);
(h) section 20;
(i) section 21(1) and (2);
(j) sections 22 to 24 (inclusive);
(k) section 25(2) to (4) (inclusive);
(l) sections 26 to 30 (inclusive);
(m) section 31(1) and (4);
(n) section 32.
