Wilderness Protection (Western River Wilderness
Protection Area) Proclamation 2006
under section 22(2) of the Wilderness Protection Act 1992
1 The land described in Schedule 1 is a reserve (the Western River
Conservation Park) under the National Parks and Wildlife
Act 1972.
2 It is intended that, by this proclamation, the land be constituted as
part of the Western River Wilderness Protection Area under the Wilderness
Protection Act 1992.
3 On being so constituted, the land will cease to be a reserve under the
National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 (see section 22(7) of the
Wilderness Protection Act 1992).
This proclamation may be cited as the Wilderness Protection (Western
River Wilderness Protection Area) Proclamation 2006.
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is
made.
3—Alteration of boundaries of
Western River Wilderness Protection Area
The boundaries of the Western River Wilderness Protection Area are altered
by adding to the Protection Area the land described in Schedule 1.
