IRRIGATION ACT 1994 - SECT 72

72—Unauthorised use of water

A person who takes water from the irrigation or drainage system of a government or private irrigation district without being authorised to do so or uses water taken from an irrigation system for an unauthorised purpose is guilty of an offence.

Maximum penalty: $5 000.

Expiation fee: $315.
