This legislation has been repealed.
8—Quorum and majority decision
(1) At any meeting of
the Committee three members form a quorum.
(2) Subject to this
Act, every matter coming before the Committee will be decided by a majority of
the votes of the members of the Committee present and voting at a meeting of
the Committee.
(2a) The members
present at a meeting of the Committee must elect one of their number to
preside at the meeting.
(3) At meetings of the
Committee, the member presiding has a deliberative vote only, and in the event
of equality of votes on any question, that question must be adjourned to the
next meeting of the Committee.
(4) Notwithstanding subsections (1)
and (2)
, a recommendation that a guarantee be given under this Act is not valid
unless at least four members of the Committee concur in it.
