PHARMACISTS ACT 1991 - SECT 6

6—Constitution of Board

        (1)         The Board consists of eight members appointed by the Governor and of these—

            (a)         one will be a legal practitioner;

            (b)         one will be a registered pharmacist;

            (c)         one will be a person, who is neither a legal practitioner nor a registered pharmacist, nominated to represent the interests of persons receiving pharmaceutical services;

            (d)         five will be registered pharmacists of whom—

                  (i)         one will be nominated by the head of the school of pharmacy at the University of South Australia; and

                  (ii)         one will be nominated by the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (S.A. Branch); and

                  (iii)         one will be nominated by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (S.A. Branch); and

                  (iv)         one will be nominated by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia (S.A. Branch); and

                  (v)         one will be nominated by the Friendly Societies Medical Association Incorporated.

        (2)         A member of the Board who is a registered pharmacist will be appointed by the Minister to preside at meetings of the Board.

        (3)         The Minister must consult the Board before making an appointment under subsection (2).
