67—Right to recover rates not to be suspended
The Corporation's right to recover water rates is not suspended by an
objection, review or appeal in relation to a valuation under the Valuation
of Land Act 1971 , and the Corporation may recover water rates on the
assumption that the valuation is correct, but if any alteration to a valuation
affecting the amount of water rates payable in respect of any land is made
under that Act (whether in consequence of an objection, review or appeal, or
otherwise) the Corporation shall refund any excess amount recovered to the
person from whom it was recovered, and may recover any additional amount,
recoverable on the basis of the altered valuation, as arrears.
