(1) None of the following is compellable to give evidence:(a) the Sovereign;(b) the Governor-General;(c) the Governor of a State;(d) the Administrator of a Territory;(e) a foreign sovereign or the Head of State of a foreign country.(2) A member of a House of an Australian Parliament is not compellable to give evidence if the member, if compelled to give evidence, would be prevented from attending (a) a sitting of that House, or a joint sitting of that Parliament; or(b) a meeting of a committee of that House or that Parliament of which he or she is a member.
